Well aren’t the months just flying by? It’s time for our October round up already! It’s been a busy month and another wave of new appointments has meant we once again have needed to expand the team to meet the demands of our new projects.
Not a bad problem to have and we’re excited to say we’ve found another fantastic architect to join the team – we will be revealing more about that next month though.
Our new appointments this month have been varied and provided the team with some exciting challenges. We have been appointed to renovate some existing offices and create some brand new residential units on one site, as well as being instructed to create a new build residential scheme on a site that is currently vacant.
Two other interesting new appointment is the conversion of a garage into one bedroom accessible annex in Wigan and a barn extension in Simmonswood.
We have also been asked to share our experience with agricultural projects, with our appointment to help a Lancashire farm diversify the use of its site, by building courtyard-style holiday homes on its land.
HMO Act 2018
We spent time this month advising some of our developer clients and connections in the property sector on the HMO Act 2018, which came in to effect on 1st October this year. It’s certainly caused some confusion in the public sector, but our recent blog explains all of the key points, why not take a look?
The Giants Spectacular
And how could we forget, October saw The Giant’s last-ever adventure which took place in Liverpool. While we were in awe of the design of The Giants and the theatre and magic they brought to the city’s streets, we also saw some breathtaking shots of the city and its incredible architecture – It certainly reminded us all to make sure we look up and around while travelling through town and on Wirral day-to-day!
Until next month folks, take care!
